NV Pineau Semillon

You will enjoy this aperitif style fortified Semillon, made in the Bordeaux tradition, particularly if you fancy a drop of Cognac. A blend of Cognac and white wine spirit is used to fortify the wine after allowing initial fermentation to about 9 beaume. This preserves the natural sweetness and flavour of the Semillon grapes. The wine is aged in French oak for one year and bottled as a vintage style. The Pineau Semillon is a lovely before dinner drink served chilled with a savoury finger food. It can also be enjoyed with desserts or cheese after dinner.
